Can I view archive material online?
This catalogue only includes descriptions of material, and does not include any images of the material. We are digitising parts of the collection as part of a five year project, and these can be found at RCVS digital archive. Material that has been digitised is indicated on the catalogue in the 'Digitised Version' field, with a link to the images.
How do I arrange a visit to view material?
The Archives are housed with the Library at RCVS Knowledge, and are available to be viewed by prior appointment only. For more information please see 'Visiting the RCVS Archive'.
Can I order copies of material?
Copies of material can be supplied on a case-by-case basis, according to copyright regulation. Please contact us, with information about what you require, and for what purpose, and we will provide a quote for any cost.
How do I sort the records in the 'search results' hitlist?
By default records are presented in RefNo order, but you can sort the list of results according to the field of your choice by clicking on the column heading. The field by which the data is sorted is indicated by a 'down' arrow.
How can I find out more information about an entry displayed in the 'search results' hitlist?
To view a full record description, click on any part of the record. If you then want to browse the record in its hierarchical context (i.e. how it relates to other records in the collection), click on the Ref No to view the hierarchy. Use the back button on your browser to return to the search results overview.
